I would give 0 stars to RoundPoint Mortgage Servicing LLC if I could. This company, connected to Two Harbors and TH MSR Holdings LLC, deliberately set me up for foreclosure by misusing my escrow funds and excess payments to cover late fees, title costs, and appraisal fees, all while I was in forbearance.

They returned my payments, double-charged me for two insurance policies, and outright refused to correct their fraudulent escrow analysis on November 28, 2023. Their deceptive practices are a scam, demanding homeowners provide insurance funds while coercing them into unnecessary, unfair loan modifications without addressing the underlying errors.

They returned payments, intentionally pushed me into default, and filed for foreclosure despite my forbearance status. Avoid them at all costs - this company preys on homeowners with unethical and manipulative practices!

I always receive delinquent notice from Monterey County that the Roundpoint Mortgage is not paying taxes on time and you know that there’s delinquent penalties. Why paying late when I pay on time.

Once again, Roundpoint Mortgage is delinquent in paying my property taxes since July 2024 for $11,919.90. Now, the penalty has increased to $485.04, so the current delinquent tax due is $12,514.61. Since my payment is on auto-pay, they should pay my taxes when due.

Zero Customer Service

I paid my mortgage last month. Apparently, there was an internet connectivity issue when I submitted my payment.

Three days after the payment was made, I received an email stating my payment was late and that a late fee had been charged to my account. I logged back in and made the payment again.

As soon as I made the payment for the second time, I called customer service to inquire about having the late fee removed as a one-time courtesy. The agent told me that this happens occasionally and that he would issue a request to remove the late fee and that I would be notified once it was removed, which would be within five days. I never received communication about the request.

I logged in this month to pay, and the late fee was still on my account.

I called in to inquire once again. I was told by the representative this time that the request had been denied, and I wasn't sure why I wasn't notified. He also stated that RoundPoint no longer issues courtesy refunds for late fees because clients "have been missing their payments on purpose and calling in to have the fees removed."

It is very concerning that my mortgage is held by a company that obviously does not have any loyalty to its customers and, frankly, has zero customer service abilities. They won't even waive a fee for a once-in-a-lifetime mishap.

They must really need that $72.95!

I have also had issues receiving refunds after they double paid my insurance premium out of my escrow account. They just seem to want to hold on to my money so they can draw the interest on it.

Additionally, RoundPoint, unfortunately, like many other customer service representative groups, has outsourced its call center.

It is extremely difficult to understand their representatives through their thick accents.

I am very disappointed with this company, especially since I am forced into giving them my business with how mortgages are constantly being bought and sold. Hurry up and please sell my mortgage again!

Customer service won't answer the phone website email doesn't work.

They will buy your mortgage from another company (without you having any say in the matter), not cash your mortgage checks, and then request a giant sum of money after a few months and tell you it's your fault. Also, if you try to email their customer service team on their website, it sends an error code and won't go through.

Oh, and good luck calling their customer service number. If you're lucky enough to get an answer, you will be put on hold for four hours.

Can not get them to send me a paper statement. Can not set up an auto pay account.

Sent them 3 payments in one check and they applied it to loan balance. Dumb as a basketball. This crap has been going on all year.

I had no choice as my mtg was sold to them. Do not use them as they are lost lost lost...

RoundPoint Withdrew Money After Loan Payoff

My husband and I finished paying our home loan with Roundpoint and 3 days later they took another mortgage payment out of our checking account. We could not get anyone on the phone, and they have a pre-recorded message that states if you overpaid your mortgage we'll get back to you in 20 days.

The fact that they have to have a pre-recorded message for this means a. they don't want to talk to consumers and b. it is standard practice for them to take money that doesn't belong to them.

We have disputed the charge with our own bank, but our account is now restricted for 10 business days because of this.

Roundpoint removed money from our account without our authorization - that's robbery. If this had been an individual instead of a company, they'd be in jail.

I need to speak to a representative

My Flagstar Bank transferred my mortgage to RoundPoint @ months in All of a sudden my escrow went up $88. The explanation was that property tax went up, home insurance went up.

This is patently false. MY tax did not go up nor my homeowners ins. What a dirty trick. Impossible;e to reach a person.

I call it corporate greed. I am going to contact the Better Business Bureau

I'm really disappointed to be a ToundPoint customer. I'd never suggest someone this terrible company.

We have a lot of problems with misapplied funds they did. Even if we tried to call their helpdesk or send them emails and requested to solve the issues they won't solve it at all. I have paid twice a month and for some reason, Round Point made the wrong decision and applied each payment in a different way. Each 1st payment is for the monthly mortgage payment and each 2nd they apply it to the Principal Payment.

As a result, I have had a few missed monthly payments which have been accumulating every month since we became RoundPoint customers.

So, I requested the RoundPoint customer help department to solve all the Misapplied Funds they did and recalculate my current balance.

Even I sent them a signed bi-weekly application form. And we have never received their response either an email or phone call just to confirm that everything is good, they see what the problem is, and they are doing their best to solve the problem and blah blah blah.

Instead of that I still have to call them every week and get absolutely useless conversations over the phone trying to fix misapplied funds and stop collecting debts on our balance. Now we know that RuondPoint is the most terrible mortgage company we have ever had.

Monthly mortgage payments

I've been unable to access my account on line. Your system doesn't appear to recognize the information I've provided; several attempts have been made, using password(s) sent by Roundpoint.

I was successful in paying April mortgage by phone, but need help getting in to my account. For the record, I'm not a 'pissed customer' - I just want to be able to access my account electronically. I've tried calling for help, but 'not authorized' to use phone service. For the record, RoundPoint is a new service provider for my mortgage at 30341.

I travel quite often and don't want to take chance of missing any payments.

I need access to my account electronically and need help in doing so. Would appreciate assistance.

User's recommendation: Recommendations don't matter with this situation. My mortgage was passed on to Round Point; I had no input into the decision to do business with Round Point and I suspect future customers won't either.

Untenable escrow charge

haII never received any call-back from them.Once I got recording saying to leave my number if I wanted a call back. Informed I was #189 on the list!

My mortgage had been sold to them 2 months prior. All of a sudden my escrow went up by$88 pr month citing property was increase and homeowners ins. This is false as there have been no such increases here.

I just manage to get by on my social security.

If only one could SPEAK TO SOMEONE. It's evasive, it's corporate greed and I will take this up with the Better Business Bureau.

Just a complete mess in customer service.

Terrible customer service. Trying to get them to correct their error has taken more than an hour of a runaround calls with different departments and dropped calls.

Even though they received paperwork by email and sent back a confirmation, they claim they still can't find the paperwork.

The federal government should really look into how this company operates. Avoid this company!

Find address for wire transfer for my bank

After waiting 4 hours for a call back, I got my information for the payout. I missed the wire transfer cut off because of the wait.

At my bank, ad I was having the wire transfer prepared, my banker requested a street address for the wire transfer receiving location...none was supplied on the paperwork.

I tried to call customer service and got a message that they " closed early". So glad I will not be dealing with them in the future.
